Help with vintage Omega watch identification

Hi,

I was wondering if you all could help identify my vintage Omega watch. From reading through a ton of material including threads on these boards I think it might be a pre-Seamaster type watch. As the photos show it has the waffle dial and the word Calendar in the place where the older Seamaster's have the word Seamaster, every thing else on the watch seems to be the same as other photos I have seen. Sorry for the cruddy photos...gotta get a better camera at one point! 馃榾

The watch was given to me by my dad and it is time I get it fixed as it is not currently running and would like to know a bit more about it. He was the original owner of it but did not have any of the papers etc. as they were lost over time.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks and have a great day!

Welcome to the forum..
Of course that to receive more info you will have to open the watch and get the informations from inside the watch..caliber, case ref, serial number etc..
I am sure that are people here who can give information base on that pictures but it's better to research yourself first..
Regards

That is correct...thanks. So does the reference number indicate the watch model or ?? It has the 355 movement. Just trying to learn a little...own maybe 20 watches but don't know a lot about researching them!

The reference is the model (sort of). Posting this in the vintage section will give more feedback

Please try using your phone to take some pictures - most people get OK results like that. Rest the phone on a coffee cup should do the trick, and use natural daylight.

You may want to lose the ruled paper background as well. You camera seems to focus only on that.
