Hello everyone,
Sorry it has been so long however the service was just recently finished on the watch and it looks great! I appreciate the suggestion to use Kelly Hunter at Art of The Watch in Portland, he has been great to work with. Here is his Instagram post about the watch: https://www.instagram.com/p/CfM1zPMPwnv/?hl=en
For those of you who guessed ref 2381, kudos to you! As such a rare, pristine piece, a true survivor, I decided to leave the watch in his care and have him represent me to sell the piece. It is just too valuable for me to feel comfortable wearing. I appreciate everyone's help!

If your plan was to sell your heirloom, you unfortunately wasted your money and time on the service.

This was definitely not my plan initially. After having it serviced I learned about its rarity and originality. Also, I came to understand how fragile it is and if damaged it could never be replaced. I am hoping the sale will benefit my folks who cared for my grandparents the final years of their lives. In the time from when I agreed to have the watch serviced to the time it was completed I suppose I gained some perspective. I will be sad to see it go for sure.
