Help with vintage IWC - corrosion?

    Hi everyone,

I am considering a vintage IWC from 1970 but the movement pic of which there is only one is really throwing me off. The case, dial and mesh bracelet are all said to be original by the reputable seller and are in really nice shape. However, the movement (mostly the rotor but some of the other parts as well) appears to have corrosion pitting or oxidation.

Am I mistaken and merely seeing some dirt that can be cleaned off or is that corrosion/oxidation? If it is corrosion/oxidation, I assume I should stay clear? Thanks a lot.

Hard to be sure from that one photo, but it does appear to be pitting.

Looks like corrosion/oxidation, which implies exposure to moisture, which would be a red flag.
