    Hi All,

I am new to this forum, and don't really do watches (yet anyways). I inherited this watch from my grandfather, who was a jeweler way back when. I know nothing about it - year, model, value, etc. I am here asking for any information you can provide. I understand the picture quality isn't great, but I am not sure how to resolve that.

    Thanks!

    Josh

Thanks for the quick replies. I have uploaded them to photobucket, and am going to try and edit to put them in the post.

Thanks. Any idea of the value? How would you judge the condition?

Depends on dial condition/originality, markers look like they are rose gold, this makes the value slightly higher...Condtion is hard to decipher....

To my eye it seems like it is in good condition. The black dial has a few markings on it, looks like light dust, but nothing significant. Any ballpark estimate? Also, in your opinion(s), what would be the best way to sell it?

    Thanks!

You can sell the watch on the forum, many experienced members, and in my opinion a safer environment to sell compared to eBay.

If the dial is in good shape I would say £350-400 in the UK, this is all variable, the movement has to be in good shape, and also dial, too. The price can vary dramatically if the dial/case has some wear.

He's trying to say that experienced collectors consider black vintage Omega dials refinished until proven original. That will GREATLY affect the value of the watch. We need much better pictures to assess the dial.

John ( John R Smith ): see why tact doesn't work so well? ;)
