A workmate just brought his father’s watch in to work. What model is it? He won’t let me open it up and check the movement/case back 😀
Looks like it’s had a bit of a polish and lost some lume too…

Looks like it could be caliber 1109 powered (rebadged ETA 2892-A2). I think these are 1990s and predate the Aqua Tera. Looks good on a Bond bracelet.

For being from a low point in watch styling, it has a charm to it. What is the diameter?

Most likely a ref. 25012000, or one of the variants of that model. That one came on a bracelet, but some came on straps.

This is the black dialed version - ref. 25015000:

Cheers, Al

OK thanks guys. Much appreciated. Not really my flavour but glad I can pass the info on to my friend. I'm primarily a vintage Seiko guy so on a steep learning curve to educate myself around the 60's/70's Seamasters and Speedmasters.

Welcome. This isn’t a 60’s/70’s Seamaster though. It’s 90’s.

Will be 36mm. These were sometimes branded as Seamaster 120m. They use a similar shaped case to the early Seamaster Pro mid size ie the Bond watch but without the He valve. Nice enough but the shape suits 41mm better IMO. As noted above it’s from early to mid 1990s

Thanks David. I think I just worded my message poorly. I understood it’s a 90’s watch from previous replies, but I am personally going to buy a 60’s/70’s Omega so that is all I can identify currently hence I originally had no idea what this watch is.

We can definitely help you with a 60s / 70s Omega, but do you have more pics of the Montreal in your avatar? That looks spectacular in orange!

Don’t worry, I’ve been watching some of your sale threads and can tell you have the good stuff! I will reach out when the time is right. Will have to offload a few other watches first unfortunately. As for the Montreal, nice spotting. Mine is currently stripped down and will probably be a few years before I get to it. I have my Giulia Super to keep me satisfied till then. Here is a pic of the Montreal before resto commenced, and my ‘66 Super.

Ha, I’m in Brisbane, I know of a few Montreals around town in red but haven’t seen one in orange before, maybe I’ll see you at a cars and coffee some time, curious which shop is doing the Montreal too, I’ve got a couple of guesses.

Classic. Those shots are giveaways to a local. Need to do the suspension the Super first before a Cars and Coffee. Went to the last one where my friend debuted his bright orange Merak. It is a colour that definitely draws attention! The Montreal will get its metalwork done at a friends in Gympie but you are probably guessing right about the shops that will look after the mechanics. Automotion and Cam at Classic Fix have both worked on my Super. Not too many mechs familiar with the Montreal 2.6 quad cam V8 with mechanical injection though.
