    Hello,

I am not dealer, selling for the first time two of my watches to a fellow collector from US. Because I never wore them. Anyway, selling it to a nice older guy, public figure, he has my complete trust. He is buying from me for 7000 EUR. We chatted over the phone as I told him I am open to trade as well. The only watch that got my attention was this Rolex ref 5500. Until I saw it, I was never aware of the story of the watch. I never had Rolex, I always liked Explorer, didnt know there was also 34mm model. From what I learnt, it is one of the top candidates for faking. From obvious reasons.

I spent studying ref 5500 for few nights. But now I would really appreciate your honest opinion.

Adding some pictures I was sent. Thank you all in advance for your time.

Always hard to opine about these pieces, especially when the dial and hands are so pristine and well-matched. If it's original, the condition is fantastic. But the odds are low.
