    Hello,

I´m probably buying Omega Constellation in the pictures. Seller is the heirs collective so the history of the watch is largely unknown. I have few specific questions about the watch:

    1. Is it re-dialed? There isn´t text "officially certified" under "chronometer".
    2. Is the crown original?
    3. Is the bracelet original?
    4. Could the size of the watch be 30mm or is it just estimate? I thought that all Pie-Pan´s are 36mm.

What else? Could you please say something about the watch. Is there something what is not original if you check the pics?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best,
    Anssi

Good looking watch, sharp looking facets

It's not a redialed, but a cal. 561 model 14XXX from around 1960. These came without "officially certified". The crown isn't original, neither is the bracelet. The size is 34mm, as are most of the Constellations of that era (others were slightly larger og slightly smaller). The photos aren't the best, but I'm guessing that the medallion matches the colour (rose gold?) of the markers, right?

Nice dial on this 14393 and less common with the arrowhead markers. Crystal would polish up nicely with a bit of polywatch and elbow grease.

Thanks Guys quick and expertise answers! That quite much what I wanted to know. I assume that it will be safe deal if the price is right.

And yes, ConElPueblo I think the medallion matches the colour.

    Thanks a lot!

If you buy the watch, put it on a nice leather band. That bracelet does not belong.

    Cicindela,

You are right. Leather band works perfect!

    BartH,

Yes I will! But I think I´ll buy it.

I don't know what crown that is, but although it's not original to the watch I quite like it and if it were my watch I would probably leave it on. I think it suits the watch rather well, which is fortunate since replacement crowns on these are usually horribly wrong in size and style and the original decagonal crowns are extremely difficult to find.

Crown looks very similar to the crown on my 14382. Any chance they could be correct @mondodec? Or is this a modern 'best fit'?

Edit: I also spotted this crown on a 14393 in your case study essay:

I'd say that the one on the OP's watch is definitely a replacement and that yours are too - it seems a tad wider than those that are "normal" on the 14XXX series (apparently those 14XXX which were exported to USA), but that might be the photo angle. Also, didn't deluxe always come with decagonal crowns?

    Compare with mine:

I have the decagonal crown on the 168.005 I have for sale. I might swap it with the one that's on the 14382.
