Help with Omega BOR Bracelet Sizing

Hello!

This is my first post and I just inherited a vintage (~1958) Omega Seamaster Calendar from my dad!
The watch has returned from servicing in Switzerland, with a new dial, crown and crystal!

I don't like the black leather strap, actually, I don't like anything BUT a vintage gold BOR bracelet for this watch.

Can someone tell me if this will fit my watch? I've measured the lug width and it is 18mm.

Thank you all in advance 馃榾

How careful was your measurement? If that's a US Collection watch, the lug width will be a bit less than 18mm, 11/16" or about 17.5mm

Now, coming from the UK, the end links for that bracelet are probably a hair under 18mm to fit an 18mm watch, so as long as yours is exactly 18mm, it should work ok. You don't show the sides of your watch; if they're stainless with just the lugs and bezel in gold, people also bought two-toned bracelets for those.

But yes, that's the bracelet you want. Note that the removable links use spring bars and not any sort of friction-fit pins!

The watch was from Hong Kong, so I'm guessing it's closer to the UK measurements?

I thought really hard about the two-toned bracelets, but the only "silver" is on the underside of the watch, so I was worried it'd look funny.

Thank you so much for your insight, Tom! 馃榾

The bracelet is from the UK and the seller has a Omega Seamaster Calendar Automatic 1960 (Ref. 2849 10 SC. Dimension: 34 mm without crown.), so I asked if the bracelet would fit, as my watch seemed very similar to that one, and the seller sent me the attached photo and said "Not perfectly on my side. You may need some adjustments."

Think I should still go for it?

Thank you in advance!!

Out of curiosity. Do you know what omega did with the dial? Did they use the old one?

They put a new one in that was exactly like the old one, then they gave me the old dial back in a baggy, along with all the hands, some gears and my old crown & crystal! My old dial looked like new when they returned it, but before it when it, it had some spotting like it was oxidizing?

Thnx. That's interesting to know. So they also worked on the old dial but they were'nt pleased so they installed a new one? Do you have pictures of the old one?

When it went in for servicing, I requested for a new dial and crystal (I had also asked if they can re-plate the gold, but they couldn't do it). My watch came back like 2 months later serviced with the new parts I've requested PLUS a new crown. I thought it was a nice touch that they gave back all the parts they've replaced...I'm a noobie, so maybe this a norm and I just didn't know. I'll take photos and post when I get home 馃榾
