    Hi everyone,
My first post here after being a “reader” member since 2016. Sorry .
I was hoping for some advice on an extract I received from omega last year. It’s regarding my Omega 2990 ranchero. I have found several other watches on the internet with extracts stating that they were delivered to the “US Sixth Fleet and US Military Sea Transportation Service in Europe”. When I received my extract from omega it simply stated that it was delivered to “US Sixth Fleet”, with no more text after that. I can’t find another example anywhere. Does anyone have any idea why mine would be different or why it only states “US Sixth Fleet”.
I’ll attach some photos. Much appreciated if anyone has any ideas.

Hi. Thanks for the link. What I can’t understand is why this extract would say “US Sixth Fleet” only compared to the others I have seen with “US Sixth Fleet and US Military Sea Transportation Service in Europe.
    Cheers

Don't worry about it, I also have an extract for a watch delivered to the 'US Sixth Fleet', mine from 1961. They were operating in The Med during this time and I'd rather have an Extract without the MSTS designation as I believe they are more the supply ships to the Navy.

Thanks everyone. So are those marked “US Sixth Fleet” likely to be actual navy watches or what could be the story behind them?

Not officially issued military watches - private purchases by military personnel.
