I found this watch in some old family boxes and I'm not familiar with it. Its in very rough shape. Can anyone help me figure out more info on it? I was told by a family member it's a '79 but I couldn't find info online for it.

What is it worth and what would it cost to repair it?

Speedmaster 176.0014.

Probably needs a good service and new crystal. Any Omega approved watchmaker could sort this.

Where in the word are you located?

Also known as the "TV dial" Speedmaster. Speaking very roughly, the ballpark value is about $1,500, but true valuation over the internet from a few exterior photos is basically impossible. Service price also impossible to say without more information, but you'd be wise to budget at least $500 USD, and obviously the cost could go up from there if problems are found in the movement.

If you don't plan to use it and it doesn't have sentimental value, just take some good photos and put it on eBay as-is. Don't spend any money on it if you intend to sell it. This particular model has a very distinctive design that has its fans, but doesn't appeal to everybody.
