    Hello guys,
I’m new here. The forum is amazing and very informative.
To the question: I came across this vintage omega and I’m considering to buy it for restoration project.
Can you help me with the identification of this watch and with verification of it’s genuineness?

The results from my initial research shows that it is probably model from mid 1930s, but I’m not exactly sure. The movement seems to me that it is cal. 26.5. It looks that the watch is the model MA 710/26.5 as shown on the catalogue, but the hands are different. For me the dial is not touched, but my eye is not that trained. The crown is changed as well.
    Catalogue:

    Thank you in advance,
    Best regards,
    S.

Your research wasn´t bad - the watch looks original to me, and yes, it is a 26.5 movement.

Hands vary - these hands look like earlier hands than those in the catalogue

    Thank you.
It is bothering me as well that dial and the hands are matching the next model 800.26.5.
