    Dear all,

Recently I purchased this Omega Seamaster watch for 168 $ off Ebay.
My question is whether this is a Frankenwatch or a real 2757 -3 SC Seamaster Automatic Calendar.
Your help will be greatly appreciated!
Also below is a description of the watch made by the seller.

"Steel bumper automatic wristwatch with black dial and date at 6 o’clock

This is a fantastic Seamaster Calendar wristwatch with a rare and original black dial that is in very attractive condition for its age. The minute/seconds tracking, signature/model name are all in silver coloured print which contrasts wonderfully against the black of the dial and perfectly compliments the applied, faceted, steel indexes and dauphine hands.

There is light and even oxidation to the dial surface. The steel case feels big and bold with long, shaped and flared lugs, chamfered bezel and substantial screw-down case back. The unusual placement of the date aperture at 6 o’clock is further highlighted by the circular magnified date window above it.

Omega first introduced Ref. 2757 in 1952 and the serial number of the present watch suggests that this is one of the first examples to have been made. "

    Kind regards,

    Dan

And who said you can’t find steals on eBay still.

When you get it serviced make sure they do not touch the dial and hands nor polish the case.

Let's get more pics of the dial. Surprised at condition of the dial given how dirty the movement is. I'm optimistic but reserving judgment that dial is genuine.

Hopefully it’s an orginal dial for you. Replacement crown, should look like this, but that’s not a terrible thing:

Yet not the pictures we need lol. Straight on pictures are needed. Even if it’s not an original dial the price is amazing.

I think you need to redo your link. Also, post a photo, not just the link.

Hi again, and sorry to trouble you guys with another question regarding the crown.
Can you tell me if the tube diameter is 2.0 mm or 2.5 mm?

    Thank you,

    Dan

I disagree. Looks like a nice black gilt dial.

Here is a white version of the same dial.

I think the hands were replaced at one time. The hour and minutes hands should have radium inserts.

    Nice pickup.

Look at the m of the Seamaster of OP and compare to these original ones.

The last two photos are redials from my files.

That version of "Seamaster" with the straight left side of the "m" was used on some of later cal. 50X calendar models.

The OP's watch is a very late cal. 355 movement. Serial number >14.3M.

My guess is a service dial that dates a bit later than the originals.

OP can you post a straight on picture of the dial rather than an angled shot.
