    Hi there,

enclosed pls find pics of 2 different vintage Omegas. I only have the photos, not the actual watch in question at hand.

    The first one:

    The 2nd one:

they both seem to be the same type/model, and both seem to be refinished dials... both seemed rather big for their vintage (def. bigger thand the typ. 33mm sized watches of the 50ies ...

so, I would highly appreciate if somebody could help me out here with the model number, year of production, etc... since I dont know a great deal about them, basically everything helps ;-)

cheers and thx for your input!!
    Al

Hi Al and welcome to the forum!
I would need to see the inside of the casebacks to tell more, but late '40's or early '50's, probably a cal. 30 variation.
There are some larger examples from this era.
Has been polished and definitely repainted and has crown issues.
    Do you own these?

Thx, Uncle I appreciate your time :

no, I don't own those - I got those offered ... and the little google-foo-luck I had is pretty much in line with what you mention ...

I assume those are "low end" watches (both from a price- and collectors p.o.v) - and thus the equivalent of an economic-total-loss (in car-speak) ... If that is so, I am not terribly interested, as I'd rather get something from Omega that doesn't need wrenching ;-) ...

could somebody pls confirm/rebut my low-end/total loss hypothesis?

again, thx for your (and any other input that might follow)

    cheers, Al

    You're most welcome, Al.

What we can see doesn't look too promising, probably only good as parts watches.
We've got to see inside to be sure.

I admire your asking first before buying!

    Good luck.

In Dennis talk, it means you've already paid the "tax".
