Gentlemen, Seeking for your help with Hulk. This is all I have for the pictures. Can someone spot any red flags? My concern is that he didn't provide any pictures of the dial closeup, and obviously it is hard to see the magnification on the cyclop and writing. It is claimed to be one from 2015 - 116610LV Thank you in advance! P.S. if you guys can post a pictures of laser etched coronet on your Hulks, that would be helpful too.
I'd say legit, mostly because it seems like a lot of trouble to build a replica and then put a genuine Rolex crystal on it. Clasp looks good as well.
I know, it is scary. It is not quite good as original, but for untrained eye, could be difficult to spot.
OP, I saw that post too. I contacted the seller if he would meet at an AD to authenticate especially that he is selling at a too goo to be true price. Haven't heard back yet.
The person who is selling it either lives under a rock or is just trying to scam someone. As they say if it's too good to be true...
Buy the seller. If he won't send you clear photos with his username written on a piece of paper next to it, pass on it. Also, something is sketchy looking with that watch. Can't quite put my fingers on what it is. Might be the green color. The sunburst dial doesn't look like that, even under that crappy lighting.
Having seen some amazing replicas I would not buy a Rolex from pictures alone, unless I knew the person selling it. Far too risky. In fact the most obvious "tell" was the boxes they were in rather than the watches. The watches had an engraved rehault, etched crystal and genuine serial numbers.
Here is a fake coronet: Real: Pictures taken from a TRF post. I would ask for some more pictures of the dial. I do agree with @Meme-Dweller that in cases like these you must buy the seller. If the price is too good to be true.... there is something fishy. If they are denying specific shots or angles, that’s a red flag.
are you able to hold it IRL? The winding of the movement is a clear tell for all replica watches. From panerai to rolex.
The old saying - if it looks too good to be true...... In all honesty, the watch itself looks ok. The dial a bit flat but the hulk does flat black/green in low and non direct light. I’d see how much it is compared to a known reputable seller and ask myself if the saving was worth the hassle, stress etc. If the seller refuses to send decent photos, that would be my mind made up on the spot. For piece of mind I’d likely go a more conventional route to obtain.
Thanks for the input gents....Moving by this deal. P.S. I had an opportunity to buy one few years ago. My friend's friend was going to sell me one and then changed his mind. Since that, I'm trying to find one, but the prices are going through the roof now days....
It's tricky because if he will not send more pics it Amy be that he doesn't have the watch and he just fished them out. So I'd definitely ask for some "proof of life" pic. That being said the watch looks good to me.
