    Apologies in advance for posting this to Omega.

    I've bought a beautiful Tissot mono pusher dated 1937/1939
    But i don't recognise the movement - looks similar to an Omega / Lemania 33,3
    I know this was the period when they all merged = so i'h hoping someone here can give me some information on this
    The jeweller i bought it from said calibre 6579 - apologies for the photo , but it is on the very edge of the dial, almost underneath he edge.

    Is this correct or is it something else with this number on it

    Any help appreciated

    There is no specific listing for the Tissot version of this movement on the Ranfft website, but there is this one for Lemania's version:

    http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?11&ranfft&&2uswk&Lemania_CH27

    On these chronographs, there was very little difference between the Tissot, Lemania or Omega branded watches other than the name on the dial and movement. All these movements were made by Lemania for their corporate cousins.

    The "6579" might be a model or case reference number given by Tissot.
