Hi all, fisrt post, be kind . Purchased this knowing it's a frankenwatch. 165.003 caseback. 1022 movement. Mop dial. But I have no idea on the case? Its large at 40mm without crown. Inner blue bezel has 24hr markers. Looks like its missing an outer bezel of some kind. Thoughts? Thanks.

 

The case could be what they call a cone, search cone in this forum. The case back belongs to another watch as you assumed, not sure where the movement belongs...

 

Well, you have a bunch of parts that don't belong together, trying to make them into a complete watch would be a total waste of additional money. BTW it's not an Omega case and not a genuine Omega dial.

 

yep the dial belings in the worst redial thread. its hideous in person. but can anyone point me in the direction of the case? ive never seen anything like it? thanks.

 

Case looks like Japanese, dial looks like it started as a seiko.

 

thanks. i had a look at seikos but anything similar size and shape i could find had chrono pushers. il have another look. the scary thing is someone has already gone to the trouble to make this all fit together and work.
