Hi. My brother is looking to purchase an Omega. He came across this one for around $600USD. I told him to wait until I can get some opinions on the forums. Thanks

Case seems in pretty good condition, beautiful dial with sunburst effect, original hands but my concern is the 10 o clock index..is that glue?

Also a picture of inside caseback and movement will be great to have.

Price seems good though!

Possible redial? Look at the faded print on the “m” in “chronometer” and the “y” in “officially.” Some of the letters in “certified” appear faded as well.

If he doesn’t want it, pass on the seller’s details to me 😀

There is no caseback on this watch. One piece case. Movement comes out the front. Very few sellers have the tools to open it up.

Should be pull-out quick set date, cal. 564 only. Ask seller to try it. If date advance operates, you'll know it's in the correct movement family. Could theoretically be a cal. 565 (same as 564, except non-chronometer), but we don't find as much funny business with these cases as they are so difficult to open.

There are condition issues with this watch. Glued-on marker already mentioned. Paint is flaking off on the 6 o'clock marker. Case is polished to the point that engraving on the back is barely visible and there are still significant marks on the case and bezel.

$600 is good money for this watch in average condition, given the issues, it should sell for a little bit less.
