Help wanted: Original Seamaster?

Hi all,
I'm on the hunt for a Seamaster and found this cotton-dial version that looks pristine. Can anyone see whether it’s an original or potentially a franken? There are no pictures of the movement unfortunately.

I have no reason to think it's a fake or franken, but the photos are too poor to judge condition. And obviously we don't know the asking price. You will rarely get movement photos for watches with this type of case.

Thanks @Dan S, it's currently under auction with a starting price of €700. I've added some high resolution pictures below if that would help.

Sorry photos are no better, but it's not a fake.

Have you been watching SOLD listings on eBay for value?

Good advice, thanks! I took a quick run-through and other sold watches were in the same ballpark, though without an Omega case.

Not a fake at all, it’s a used example with mild case markings etc not pristine. If you like it buy it depending on how high the auction goes of course.

I would say that 700€ is not the best deal ever, but not the worst either, assuming the watch is in the condition you expect (which I wouldn’t take for granted based on these pictures, as it doesn’t look pristine - but it’s also a matter of definition). These textured dials and references are plentiful, so make sure you only pull the trigger if it’s a great example… or desperately want it. If you’re outside of the EU (US for instance) then wait for another deal.

What do you mean? An Omega box with the watch?

Apologies, I meant that other sold watches were in the same ballpark, but they didn’t include an omega display box.

Thanks for all the advice. I ended up winning the auction at the starting price. It may have been slightly overpriced but I’m happy that the dial is in good condition which is a dealbreaker for me.
