Hi all,
First post so please bear with me. At least it’s not in a “no questions” forum! 😉

Thank you all for the valuable information you provide but as a complete Omega newbie I still struggle on vintage pieces and identification of wrong dials and components.

I have been looking at a SM 30 or 120 to begin my vintage Omega Seamaster journey. I found this one but it has a dial I haven’t seen, but as I said I’m new so haven’t seen as many as y’all. Would love your opinion on the dial or anything else you see.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Keep looking. The SM120's are a minefield of fakes out there. Have you looked at the private sales section here?

Thanks both. I at least recognized it is a minefield, that’s why I am asking the questions and am really appreciative of the advice.
Just started looking through the private sales section, I am assuming it a bit “safer” as I would think this group would run a fake out of the forum pretty quickly.
Thanks again!

Yes the sales section is definitely safer. But you still need to do you due diligence. We are happy to help.👍

99.5% of vintage Omegas with a "military" or "diver" look are redials as are black dialed Omegas in general.
