Greetings, I stumbled upon an auction for this Omega Seamaster which looks to be a 14763, but I'm not sure whether it's a redial or not as I've only seen the 14763 with the hanger s online. Same with the geneva stripes, I've only seen them with the hanger s. Another thing which is weird about this auction is the Omega box which it comes with is not the right one for a metal bracelet watch. So, potentially could the previous owner have changed the straps? Thanks for any advice.

Are you sure it’s a 14763? Wrong case shape I think.

Dial looks fine to me. Nice condition too. Straps/bracelets were accessories so I wouldn’t be surprised if they didn’t get sold together, although this bracelet is period correct. It’s also very possible the box was swapped.

I'm not too sure about the case model. Initially I thought it might be a 166.010 but the crown didnt match, then a 166.011 but the lugs seem off to me. It looked most like a 14763 to me, the seller didn't state/show the case model.

Isn’t that simply the standard service box of the time? I thought it was the box you’d have gotten your watch back in after a repair/service from Omega, not a box that was specific to a certain model and was handed out with the purchase.

My opinion, wrong end links on that bracelet... they don’t fit right.
