this is my great-grandfather's omega, which had its strap changed and i have no information about it. according to my father, it is made of gold.

this is the pocket omega that my grandmother gave me. her grandfather came to brazil with it in his pocket when he immigrated, but i don't know the exact time period. according to her, it is made entirely of gold, including the chain. i couldn't find any information about either of the two watches, and i can't send a photo of the movement.

if anyone can help me, i would be really happy to learn more about my family's history through these amazing watches.

Why not open the back plate of the pocket watch and see what it says inside. Looks like someone drew the Omega logo on the dial very crudely. The second watch does not seem to be solid gold because of the wear on the watch lugs.

That's the only way we can tell you more than "it's an Omega pocket watch".

There were a number of Ω symbol designs on the early watches, along with the italicised OMEGA, I think it's OK.

Agree.

it is not possible to identify anything else about this one besides it apparently not being made of gold?

From the style of the printing on the dial, I would say it is from around 1940. The hands have all been replaced at some point.

However, the only way to give you more information would be to have a watchmaker open the back of both watches and for you to take some pictures of the movements and insides of the casebacks.
