    Hi
I am a newbie here and a newbie to Omega watches having previously been a Rolex guy.
I have fallen in love with (and bought) what I believe to be (Google being a wonderful thing) a 1930s T17. Apart from that I have drawn a blank having found many similar but none the same. It is very curved. I now know it’s not a Pupitre. It is bi-metal (silver with gold stepped sides). The winder is safely recessed in the side plates which is a nice touch. I don’t think either is a precious metal but would appreciate any confirmation. It is identical to a Cartier Tank Americaine (in a medium size). I don’t really care what it is worth BUT it would be useful to know whether it is worth spending a lot of money on a “proper” service. It keeps reasonably good time but could be better. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
    Thanks
