Help! Seamaster clasp broken

Hopefully this is the right place for posting?

I have a 2015 Seamaster (Diver 300 from what I can tell - can't see it printed on or in the box anywhere though) with a 21mm bracelet 1617/751. I can't put the watch on now as push pins are locked. I've tried simple stuff, soap and water wd40 etc etc but it's not budging.
Any thoughts on best way forward. Doesn't look a simple spring replacement but if someone can advise I'd be really grateful!
With lots of goggling is 117STZ001159 a suitable replacement?
Apologies.. I realise I have no idea about watches! (2nd time the clasp has failed in 9 years... a bit frustrating but I assume others must have experienced similar?)

Any one able to offer any help at all? Seems like I'm going to have to go to AD.

Do you know how to remove the bracelet? My suggestion would be to put it in an ultrasonic cleaner (not with the watch head attached!). That might do the trick if the links are bound up due to dirt and crud creeping into the pin and collar area.

If you don't know how to remove the bracelet 100% take it to a watchmaker or an AD if they have a watchmaker on site.

Thank you! @502. Much appreciated. As I mentioned i don't know much about watch mechanisms. What seems strange is both push pins are stuck rather than one? Looks like i may need to buy a cleaner!

What do you mean by push pins?

I would take it to a watchmaker if I was you.

So a bit of an update... I took it to a local repair centre to investigate and it looks like the spring is held inside a sealed unit. Couldn't get a price as they wanted to send it off (est 6wks just to get a price). Photo attached. No part number on it but now trying to source one of these!

It’s not a sealed unit…some photos…

If you are able to get it apart you may be able to identify what the problem is. Your description of the problem isn’t clear, but if “push pins” means the release buttons on the clasp, my first guess would be that one or both of the springs inside are broken.

If so they are part 085ST0113 and you should be able to buy them from an AD or Boutique.

Awesome stuff. That is exactly what I was after. Thank you so much Archer. Looks like my unit is slightly different to yours and the mech slides out.. but otherwise tbe same. After sliding it out, what i assume to be a broken spring came out as well. (Will have to look for the missing part!). Anyhow will order x2 (just to be safe I'll change the other side too) .. but hopefully that makes a £400 repair down to £40. Thank you so much!

I have the same issue, I've tried to reassemble the springs into the clasp without issue, but how in God's name do you get the whole assembly back together and the pushers in place?

You have to level it and carefully put it back. Very frustrating if it's your first time. It's not a good design where every single part falls out when the 4 side screws aren't in. The older non-microadjust version is much easier to work on, as you can only remove the locking unit and is held on by 2 spring bars. and the little springs are held in by two screws.

After almost 30 years of use (read abuse from diving) I’ve had the springs in the clasp replaced three times. They will bind up, especially with a lack of maintenance/cleaning. Not saying that’s the case here, but…. Maybe a NATO band as a quick fix??
