Hi all! I'm a novice and would like some help. I would like to buy my first Seamaster. Particularly, I would like to buy a 100% original one that's worth is value.

I found this great product on an auction on ebay, it's current price is around 650 USD. The watch Model Serial No. is 166.0163 (there are photos of the case back). I searched on Omega official database and apparently, the original watch has a white dial. Moreover, there is the write "Genève" rather than "Seamaster".

My question is the dial is the original one or it has been substituted? In case it has been substituted, it's still worth the price? Are there any tutorial or books I can find somewhere that help me recognize if a timepiece is original?

    thank you in advance!

    Thank you!

What would be a fair price for that one? and

How much it would cost a completely original one?
