This reference definitely walks a ridge. Get a good one and you can say you have something stylistically "different", and that speaks so clearly of a particular period, all too short, when the 60s were more than a memory, and before the early 70s became a parody of themselves. It's the Seamaster Hendrix would have worn. Get a bad one, and it looks like characterless junk.

Without disrespecting Dsio for a millisecond, I would not bid for the piece currently mentioned in the eBay recommendations thread even if it remains cheap. Leaving aside general condition issues, the "elasticated metal" bracelet and the cracked crystal spell trouble imo; the bracelet is unattractive and the non-"sparkle" dial is not special enough.

All I can say about this reference is ... there's no accounting for taste. ::stirthepot::
I have been giving this some thought. Oh no. You have got me perfectly summed up. Just realising I am more Mr Bean than…Mr Bond, James Bond
