Help on this Seamaster 300 165.024

I've been trying a decent Seamaster 300 for some time and came across an ad that looks good at first glance.

Since I have dealt intensively with most of the topics that can be found here in the SM300 forum during my search, I think I can say that this watch is at least tinkering, if not a Frankenwatch.

In my opinion you can see
- a fake dial with stubby indexes, missing holes at 12 and 6, maybe wrong font for 3 and 6 (or did the small serifs at the end of the digits sometimes look like this?)
- Fake Bezel, at least I did not find this variant in the variants A-G
- Lid with unusual inside, 165024 recessed as well as addition SC; the backside looks authentic
- 550 caliber as far as I could tell, no serial number
- I cannot estimate the case, crown etc.

I suppose I'd better step back, what would you say? Thank you very much for your opinion.

Best regards from a very interested newcomer ;-)

As you already noticed, this watch is fake.

So better step back as far as you can... 😉

The minute markers going beyond the lume plots. Bezel, crown, movement!! A shocker!

Do they still actually make these fake dials with the stubbies or was there simply a large batch 10-15 odd years ago?

Some very careful artificial wear on that case back 😁
Lol! I went back and looked...sand paper to the right and left, now sand paper up and down, now back to the left and right...perfect!

In the future, once you notice one major issue, don't waste any more time looking at the watch. Just move on. Life is too short.

It’s like when shopping for a house and you see a few issues- but you think you can look past them, then you walk down to the basement and the fresh carpet and new paint can’t cover that smell of wet....yeah, time to walk.
