    Hi OF,

I purchased this watch recently as part of a lot of a few watches and someone told me that the dial is not original. It looks ok to my naked eye when I bought it, though I'm far from expert for Omega watches. Can someone please share some more information on this?

I like the texture of the dial as well as the breguet numerals. Was thinking on sending the watch to my watchmaker as a little project as the second hand and glass needs to be replaced.

Apologies for the bad seller photos. Appreciate the help!

    Thanks heaps

I think that is a great looking dial. Does this someone think that the dial is incorrect for a 2635 or that it is a redial?

I don't see anything wrong with the dial. The fine lines on your specimen would be nearly impossible to reproduce on that textured dial. Radium on both hands and dial looks excellent too

Apologies that I wasn't clear, someone told me that it's a redial.

Appreciate the input! I know I'm not meant to buy first then ask question later on these sort of watches, but I did my homework on this and convinced that it's original until someone told me otherwise. Thought I might get a better opinion here since I don't have a lot of experience on these textured dial Omega watches.

Below is another close-up photo, a bit hard to see the text due to the crazing in the glass.

Been wanting a breguet numerals Omega time only for a while now, glad to have found this one!

I don't recall seeing too many redial attempts on textured dials that didn't look like they were done by a monkey with a Sharpie.

Looks fine to me. The slight inconsistencies on the minute track will be down to the texture of the dial and are not evidence of a redial IMO.

Here is a quick screen capture of my textured dialed 2577 with "bregeut" numerals.

Diabolic always says that textured dials are almost impossible to redial without them looking like crap. This just looks old.

And then they offered you $50 to get that awful thing off your hands, I'll bet.

    Looks "prototype" to me :whistling:

    Something like that ::facepalm1::

Cheers guys for the help and quick replies, watch is off to the watchmaker now and I can't wait to wear it already! Love this place!

Can anyone please help me on finding the correct second hand for this watch? Is there a reference number for it or something?

On Ofrei, hands are linked to movements.
