Hello everybody! This is my first post on the forum so would be great to get some help!

I was given this piece from 1939 for my university graduation recently but have no idea what it actually is! The serial number is 32/87153 and the model number is 9340778 and it has a 15 jewel movement, but apart from that, I've no idea!

The strap has been replaced, but I think everything else is original.

    Can anybody help?

    Thank you!

The serial number likely starts with an "8", which would indicate a late 1930's origin. The number inside the caseback is not the model number, but actually a case serial number that also helps to date the watch. A 9 million figure there also translates to late 1930's.

I think this should be the third picture on this catalog page from 1937:

There were several dial styles, but the case looks the same. I'm sure Yann will be along soon enough with better catalog photos and a lot more information.

    Nice watch!

    Hi,
I think I know this model. My computer is down again and I don't have access to my pictures (usine my IPad...). Hope I'll be able to post pictures tomorrow.
In the meantime, can you post picture of the movement and give us the size of the case? It could well be a 23.4 non SC.

    Gator,

Not the same model. Area around the bezel is flat in image. OP's actually curves down a bit

    Movement probably a 26.5 caliber

I have the same case with a caliber 23.4SC Inside (ref CK4044) :

My best guess is that it is the same with a 23.4 non SC. I don't have the reference for the non SC version.

The one pointed by Gator is this model, different case with a 26.5 (mine proably has wrong hands...):

It is a ref 430 (italian references, corresponding to the 726 Swedish one. I don't have the CK / Omega reference this model doesn't appear in my other catalogs) with 26.5 SOB T2 Inside as in this 1937 catalog :

Actually tire-comedon. I think your ref CK4044 is also not the same case. It's similar, but appears flat around the bezel and lugs. Doesn't slope down from the bezel that I can see form your image

I had 2 of those. Liked the case, but I bought to resell. Don't see to many of them on EBay

430 and 2023 are flat a round the bezel. The 4044 is slightly curved, I'll try to take a picture that shows it.
The one that is close in design but which is flat around the bezel is the Naiad CK 2111 :[IMG]

I've learned that you don't argue with Yann on these models. He has multiple catalog pictures at different angles for documentation.

I've got nothing but one 1937 catalog and this watch:
