I've inherited this vintage solid 18k gold omega and i can't understand the exact model of the watch, the movement is a 268 and on the back of the case it states that is a 14707 model. But the dial and the hands correspond to the 121.002 model From omega archives. Is possible that omega used a movement and case from the 14707 and the dial from the 121.002 model? Omega 121.002: My watch:
The reference is 14707. Each reference came with many different dial/hands variations, only one variation is shown in the database.
While the Omega model number or case number identifies a particular configuration of case/movement, there are many dial/hand variations for any particular reference. This is especially so when a model runs for a number of years and design trends influence the layout of dial and hands.
Here's the link to your watch. Note that it has different dial and hands, but it's not really an issue. https://www.omegawatches.com/watch-omega-other-omega-ot-14707
Thanks for your replies, the truth is that i prefer alpha hands, i think they give more of a vintage look, do you know a good source in Europe to buy a pair?
Another question, do you think is possible to restore the dial? It has some signs of oxidation. I don't want to repaint it, only to refresh it.
