Hey esteemed and kind members of my favourite forum :)

I am considering this on an internet auction. I really like that whole 70's look. However on the back there is some corrosion (can be seen in the first picture) and I don't have the time to travel across country to view it IRL since auction ends later today. No interior photos. So in your opinion, does it look bad, or do you think it is superficial? ::confused2:: And will you be able to polish it off without ruining the case? I know it can be difficult to tell but any opinion is appreciated

    Much luv - T :D

The area of concern here is the side of the case between the lugs - the bit the seller has not let you see properly. Sweat corrosion like this causes pitting in the steel which can often be too deep to polish out.

thx very much for your quick reply. Yes, it seems pretty bad between the lugs. Damn it, better let this one go :(
