Help needed on font on SM Calendar

Hi all

I have just sold an Omega Seamaster Calendar ref 2849 7 SC from 1958 to a fellow watch lover. He is now wondering if the font is correct for the model and year. Specifically the S in Seamaster. On mine it is a bit rounded while many seem to be in the shape of a "coat hanger". Can you help us out a bit on this one? I like to ensure he is either happy it is genuine or be a good guy and take the watch back if not.

Don't have the watch with me anymore, but it is a 16 million serial.

Looks fine to me. That’s a known ‘early’ variant of the cursive ‘S’, not to be confused with the one form the mid 60’s onwards.

Thanks guys! From what I read out it is most likely genuine. Seems Omega was very confused on fonts during this period
