Hello everyone

I've come across this gold watch from omega that a private seller has listed at 1500 USD. Can someone help explain how to arrive at a fair price for this watch? Dial seems untouched although the crystal has been changed. It has seahorse logo on the back in steel - rest of the bezel seems gold. Seller says movement is original cal 552. Does this seem authentic? There are no box & papers unfortunately.

this could be my first vintage purchase, would be grateful to get feedback from the community, thanks

Authentic but not recommended. This is what is referred to as a gold capped case, stainless steel with a heavy layer of gold bonded to it. Unfortunately it is very worn as evidenced here on the edge of the bezel also the edges of the lugs are very soft and worn through as well.

Dial does appear original but it has some marks which would detract from the desirability and value as well.

Again not recommended regardless of price, $1500 being completely silly in this condition.
