Hello Omegaforums
I have come to ask you about the watch shown below. The reference number is 198.0028 in 18k and it did not run for a very long time. In 2022 i put a new battery in it, and it suddenly started running again until july this year. After i got the battery changed recently, it stopped working yet again. I have decided to sell the watch, but i wanted to inquire about what might be a reasonable price for it - considering the issues with the movement. I have found a buyer, and we are currently negotiating. I saw a better condition and working one sold for 7100€ on Watchmaster.com aswell as one in mint condition for 8000€ on a french auction. He has offered me roughly 6000€ for the watch. It comes with an extra piece of mint condition acrylic glass and the 2 links i had removed way back when. Should i go for it?

Whether it’s working or not, I’d say the gold price is by far the overwhelming factor influencing the value of it.
If you’re being offered above the gold price, I think it’s more than fair.
