Help me to find the model of this vintage Omega!

Hi everyone,

Some time ago, I visited an elderly aunt. Knowing that I love watches, she asked if I could obtain some information about this old Omega, which I presume is from the 50s-60s, that belonged to her late husband. After much research, I am having a hard time finding something similar.

I only have these two photos, but I hope you can help me identify the model of this piece and provide an estimated value, even if it is in its current condition.

The reference number will be inside the caseback. Your aunt can take the watch to a watch repair shop and have them open it to take photos.

If I had to guess I’d say its a domestic production 9KT gold case Cal 601 Geneve but you’ll need to see inside the caseback.
