Hi Guys, I am new of this world. I just bought and received my brand new Omega Speedster 311.33.42.30.01.001 from Grey Market on eBay truster seller 100% positive with 1000 items sold name (authenticwatchonly) They said brand new without omega paper but with their warranty which is arrive as you can see from the pictures. Everything seems to be perfect honestly, box, card holder, serial number engraved, buckle, movement, it still have the plastic cover on the back and on the front, the only thing that was concerning me is that was completely missing the cards inside, pictograms and international warranty. I asked to the vendor and he said to me that he bought this watch from "Omega overstock" and when they sell it they don't provide those cards. Could you please help me? Here the pictures and a video of the movement. Thank you
Looks to be exactly what the vendor said it was, an authentic Omega Speedmaster Professional moonwatch without papers. Enjoy.
Looks OK, but you can't be absolutely sure without popping the back (and that's something you don't want to do unless you really need to). These days, the adage of "buy the seller, not the watch" has never been more true. I have no idea but, if "authenticwatchonly" is the ebay name of Authentic Watches, you're almost certainly fine (but I want to emphasize that I really have no clue if this is the case). Most grey market dealers will not have watches with a stamped warranty card/papers. That's just usual GM practices. (On the other hand, there are a few GM dealers who can procure watches with warranty cards.) These days, you even have fake vintage moonwatches (look at the people who initially thought that this was authentic).
If you really really want replacement cards, omega will sell them to you. The warranty card is £125 + VAT, the pictogram card is £25+VAT.
Ok Village. He got 700 positive feedbacks mostly on watches. I don't think is the case. Any other can give me their thoughts based on the pictures? Thank you
They replaced a set for me on a 1996 Speedmaster Date... They will want to see the watch, check the serial, and movement.
You need to go to Omega. If you call the customer service department in your country they should be able to guide you on the local procedure.
Concerning the serial number, in 2006 Omega stopped at 80 million, and stopped using the serial number to date their watches. 77mil corresponds to year 2005 and back then this watch would have had a red dot to seal the back. I'd contact Omega to verify the authenticity of this watch. Would be somewhat interesting to have an NOS 11 years old Speedmaster.
Omega serial dating appears not reliable after 1998, but how do you know it's 2014? Any original paper dating so?
