My cousin bought this Seamaster from a pawn shop for $300 and needs help identifying it. He says the only markings on the case back is “14k.”

It’s a 50’s or early 60’s Seamaster.

All the other info you need is o the movement and inner caseback. Try taking it to a watchmaker to have the caseback removed to take pictures or write down the movement serial, calibre, reference no etc.

If it says "14K" on the caseback, it is a US-production case, which have reference numbers different to the Swiss ones. @gatorcpa is probably your best bet for any knowledge prior to opening the watch and looking closer inside.

No short cuts here. You are going to have to have it opened for anyone to give more information on it.

It has a nice dial. The crown looks like a replacement. It’s probably a good buy for 300 I would think

Isn't it a re-dial tho? But the 14k should make it worth it?

It is a redial, fonts looks way off
It’s a US model. They have different dials and cases.

Could be a redial, but I would want to know the model and compare to others with the same case reference before making a definitive statement.

Either way, the hands and dial don't quite match but the price was right.
