Hello everyone on the forum.

This is my first post and I need help identifying my grandfather's watch.

In backcase put 2317/3.

The movement I think is a 30T2PC.

Attach photos

Greetings to all and thank you very much

You mean that dial may be repainted, right?! There are rounded marks at the edge of the dial. Those are original marks. The new brown marks don’t look good

Thanks hant26.

I don't want to repaint the dial as it could be very expensive.

i only have changed the plexiglass and have cleaned the case and hands

I would like to know the model and if I could sold it.

Kind regards

Here is information from Omega:

https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/watch-omega-30-mm-omega-mi-2317

Collectors pay for originality. Unfortunately, the re-painted dial is not original. That will hurt the value.

Thank you!!!

Yes, that information is I knewn it, but I would like to know a little bit of information about this model.

Do you think that the dial has been repainted?

If the dial is repainted I think I'll keep the watch.

Thank you very much!!!

Why do you say 30T2PC? There is no shock protection.

I think but it is very likely that it is not the 30T2PC and it is the 30T2 or other similar.

Searching the internet it reminded me of that one.

Thank you very much

Movement except for one tiny spot looks very clean. That’s a plus

You can see the 5:00 marker inside the small seconds chapter. Looks like copper coloured indexes. Not a very good job.

Someone will pay for a clean movement or they will restore the dial and use.

Looks maybe 33 mm?

Yes, the truth is that when my father gave me the watch I found those markers very strange.

I thought what a botched job the omega people have done here .... XD

I didn't think it had been repainted, now it all makes sense.

I guess I'll keep it for myself as a souvenir and in the future I'll look for an original dial even if it's expensive and replace it.

I didn't understand the last sentence about 33mm?

Thanks!!!

He means the diameter of the watch. But it’s 35mm
