Hello Omega Forums I have today bought my first Omega watch, and i was hoping you could help me identify it, as this is my first watch. I have looked at Omega Seamasters for a while now, and have long thought that they where simple enough and elegant, so i had to own one at some point. Earlier today i found one in black (have not seen many of them around), and the seller didn't seem to know much, but as i have looked a used retail prices online, i found the price to be fair enough so took the chance and bought it right away. The seller told me it was from the 70's however i think it's a little earlier then that. In the near future i will be looking at changing that strap to a black or brown leather one, as that suits me a little more I have taken some pictures and was hoping that maybe you guys would be able to help me identify it a little more. Thank you in advance
I have now opened the back, so maybe that helps! Here are the pictures Note that I have changed the link to a black leather one
It is a 125.003. See also: http://www.omegawatches.com/planet-omega/heritage/vintage-watches-database?ref=14420
Very nice watch, and putting this on a nice leather/alligator/lizard/ect. strap will do wonders for it. Post some pictures when you get your new strap, would love to see it!
Thanks for the help guys! And regarding the request from Hijak here is a picture with the new leather strap!
Looks great Kevin! Hard to beat an original black dial, alpha hands and a sharp case...congratulations on a nice find.
