Hello everyone,

I hope your year is off to a good start.

I received this beautiful vintage Omega Constellation watch as a Christmas gift. However, I am a novice when it comes to watches, especially Omega. I appreciate their beauty but am not familiar with their history. I came across your forum and wanted to know if you could help me learn more about the history of this watch.

Thanks in advance for your responses and have a good day !

Like Bruce said, otherwise you could try asking the person who gifted it to you? They might know more about it and be happy to discuss it with you.

Very nice gift. Congrats on your Omega! I would guess that it’s probably from the 90s or early 00s. You could search Chrono24 for Manhattan Constellations from those times and try to find a match. The information you need is inside the caseback. A watchmaker could help you remove the caseback and get the reference number.

That does seem like the correct reference number. I did a quick search and found what appears to be a good match (pictured below). If you know how to, or have access to a reliable watch maker that confidently knows how to remove the back, the reference should be on the inside of the case back. But I do believe, for what I’ve seen, that the 196.0360 looks like a match.
