Hi there, new to this forum, because i am buying a speedmaster. Still got a little saving to do.

Because i cant afford a genuine classic in mint cond, I am buying as new as i can, but likely to used. I am still deciding between the Speedy Pro 3572 displayback, or the Speedmaster 57 re issue. I know there is difference in collectability, movement and status - but that doesnt mean much to me. I am buying an heirloom i will use for life and pass down to the grand kids and these are the two i like the look of the most. I intend to buy from a dealer to avoid any issues.

That might not stop me buying other used speedmasters that i find :)

This is for sale locally. I am working on getting a clearer pic from the seller before i go and visit. COuld some one help me ID it? I am not even sure its genuine. he says its got 145.0022 written on it. But no T markings, i thought all of them did?

I was thinking, if it was genuine and in decent asthenic condition. I might snap it up cheap and resell, or trade to a dealer?

    Cheers,

    That's a terrible fake.
If you are going to get a pre-owned watch try to educate yourself a little bit more or get the watch from a trusted seller.

But I like the bezel attempt. Obviously they have looked at a real Speedy before they went to work. Give them some credit :)

I like the placement of the chrono hand. That some kind of new fashion I don't know about ::confused2::

Looks closer to a pic of a Speedy birthday cake

Bezel is not even close. No chrono hand, dial is wrong, it looks like it has a rehaut... Or at least the dial seems sunken in and you can see the case from the front. Looks horrible.

145.022 could be seen on a speedy pro without tritium. Replacement dial, and that is the case part number, so it could be on it. Using that as a reference point is not advised. This watch has many many other things going wrong.

For someone looking for fake stuff? Would rather take a hard kick in the nuts than be forced to look one more minute at that thing
