Hi guys

could you help me with this watch please? Was hoping to find out a little more about it and in particular the dial as I’ve not seen one with a textured dial before so not sure if it’s original.

suggested value and general facts would also be appreciated.

thank you

It takes a brave person to try and pull off a redial on a waffle dial.

And they didn't do all that bad a job. The little curlicue on the bottom hook of the "S" is sort of flamboyant...

The curl was the first thing I noticed, then the alignment of some of the markers, but you're right, one of the better efforts.

Almost, but not quite.

If you're not a fastidious collector, this would be OK for a daily wearer.

It's a reference 2757-3 with a caliber 355, serial dates to around 1955, crown looks original, movement looks to be in good condition, dial is a "Clous De Paris" (or "Hobnail) guilloche pattern.

No idea of value.

Also the 'swiss made' text is missing on the dial.

Why spend all these efforts on doing a redial, if you don't do a relume?

It's more of a 'common' waffle dial Jim.

Here's a waffle and hobnail side by side
