·Hi everyone.
Thank you very much for your advice and expertise in advance. I have had a watch in my care for some years now and have enjoyed doing some additional research to better understand its history.
My current understanding is that the watch was used through WWII and dates from around ~1939. Whilst not a military issued watch (design looks more of a dress watch) was used as such by a US Officer by the name of Jack Allison service number 19092798. It runs very well for its age and is gold filled.
A couple of bits I'd really appreciate the communities help with:
- I can't find a record of the watch on Omegas online database. I've tried using the "T125602" stamped on the back as well as the "9174863" on the movement itself. Why might this be?
- Does the watch model have a name?
- Any ideas of time period or if this was military issued?
any help is gratefully received to help uncover the watches history.
Thanks
James
