So I'm still pretty new to this and have been researching a ton and browsing around for a vintage Omega and figuring out which model I want to go for and came across the following watch. Does anyone know which model this is? The back of the case has 11295528 and 2619, is one of these the case reference numbers? I was under the impression the ref #'s were in a xxx.xxxx format for most years. It has a 14 serial number which would place it around 1954 with a 266 caliber, were the case reference numbers different then? Anyways, any help would be greatly appreciated. 1.jpg 2.jpg 3.jpg

2619 is the reference number. A lot of the early Omegas had four digit reference numbers. That dial looks a little suspect to me but I'll wait for an expert on this one.

Many many Omegas didn't have a model name, in general, up until Seamaster et al.

There were a number of specials and models given names in the thirties and forties, e.g.: Foibos, Dedalos, Argos, Euroos.

You've figured most of the information so good work, you get a like for that.

If you're thinking of buying the watch be aware that the dial has been repainted.

+1 to Jim, Dial has been re done.

This model's name was Brigadier Tresor, because he has 1 star.

Thanks! I was a little suspect on the dial, didn't even notice the star when looking, great catch. Still young in the game, but am learning a lot every day and have to admit, it's addicting.

I am a little suspect because there is a very huge gap between the case and movement serial##

There are sometimess significant gaps but not soooo large...

So I am not confident that case and movement have left the factory together.
