Hi Everyone,

I have had this watch for years - i believe it was an uncle's watch. I'm trying to figure out what year it might be from, the model? Would opening the case up help?

I tried googling and searching eBay for info and found a lot of interesting but not enough to conclusively say what year this may be from - did discover the term "sub-seconds" - that was cool to find out.

Thanks for the help

The reference number will be inside the case-back, and the serial number on the movement will give an approximate production year.

Is this a 166.002?

It’s not a 166.002. A member may be able to tell you the reference by looking at it but most likely you’ll need to open the caseback to confirm.
What we can see looks nice though. Dial seems clean and original and case appears sharp.

Looks like an 14389 but only one way to confirm as suggested above.
