Hi All, I have had this Omega watch for ages and its just been sitting in the cupboard for years. I have no idea what year it is from, what model or how much it could be worth. Looks to be in original codition. Any opionions would be greatly appreciated. Currently working well. Cheers,
Hi and welcome. It is a calibre 267, and looks in great condition. If it has been sitting in a draw for a while, DO NOT winf or use the watch until it has been serviced. Doing so may seriously damage the watch. Where do you live? We may be able to recommend someone so service it. To get the model number, can you take a photo of the inside of the case back.
Circa 1957 by the serial number on the movement. The model is usually a 4-digit number with a hyphen and one more number, engraved inside the back cover. I'll let someone else determine the value. Just as a side note: most collectors would advise against winding/running the watch until a service is done to lubricate the moving parts. If it has been sitting for several years there is no clean oil to protect those parts. Running it with dirty or no oil causes the parts to wear out until the watch cannot be repaired.
Cheers guys, thanks for your help. I'm in South Australia. If anyone is interested in buying this from me let me know by PM. I'll get the model number and post it up shortly. Cheers,
