Help identifying this Omega Seamaster

Hi everyone! Could anyone help me identify this specific Omega Seamaster Quartz “Tank” - “TV model”?
The watch has a 1430 quartz movement.

I’m trying to find out the exact model, approximate production year, and any other information about this particular version.

Is there any way to determine the exact model and production year from the information visible on the watch, without opening the caseback?

And if the caseback does need to be opened, how difficult is it to remove on this particular model? Is it something that can be safely done with the right tools, or would you recommend having a watchmaker do it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don’t know the exact 196.xxx / 396.xxx reference number for this particular watch.

If you tried Google Lens this would be first thing to come up

But integrated bracelet n your example is different.

Ask watchmaker to open for you

Your link is to an auto though, not a quartz, there is a bit of a difference 😉.

OPs watch is I suspect, an MD 396.0979.

MD = 20m yellow gold plate/steel back.
3 = Gents Bracelet Watch
9 = Electronic
6 = Water Resistant Calendar.

Date, early to mid 1980s.

You can do that yourself
