·Hello everyone,
I recently acquired this vintage Movado and I’m trying to learn more about it.
The watch has a Movado Cal. 75 manual-wind movement. The case is marked 51115 inside the case back, along with “ML” and another small hallmark that I cannot clearly identify.
I was told that the case is 18K gold, but I would like to verify this rather than simply rely on the previous description.
I would especially appreciate help with:
I’ve attached photos of the movement, dial, case and close-up photographs of the markings inside the case back.
Any information or suggestions about where to research this particular case would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I would especially appreciate help with:
- identifying the approximate date/period of the watch
- identifying the case/reference number 51115
- identifying the case maker or meaning of the “ML” mark
- identifying the small animal/profile-shaped hallmark next to the number 4
- determining whether the case is solid gold and, if so, what karat
- identifying the particular Movado model/style, if possible
I’ve attached photos of the movement, dial, case and close-up photographs of the markings inside the case back.
Any information or suggestions about where to research this particular case would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
