By unfortunate circumstances I came into possession of this watch. Its in pretty rough shape but by some miracle I wound the watch and the internals still work perfectly. I was trying to find what year this could possible be from but I have not been able to find one similar. Also asking where to even try and take it to get repaired if possible.

Based on the photos I've got a feeling that it's a parts watch. Maybe an "Ultraman" De Ville 馃槈.

The inside of the caseback will have all of the information you need to identify it and a photo of the movement will also help.

By parts watch you saying they took miscellaneous parts of different models and pieced it together? still a great find to me. Im having the crystal replaced as well as the missing cap. I asked them to take pictures inside the back for me since I didn't have the tool to remove it. so hopefully i can get more answers. All that is know is my grand father had it in the 1970s but unknown when it was bought

Some of the hands have been replaced, but that can be addressed if you want to take on a bit of a project. It's a desirable watch. There are members here who will know exactly what it is, I can only say that it either from the late 1960s or 1970s.

It鈥檚 an Omega ref. 2451, with a nice cal. 321 inside. It鈥檚 from the year 1954, according to the serial number.

If you search for the ref. number you find others watches. Like mentioned before: not all parts are like it was sold. The hands are replaced, the rest I can鈥檛 really tell.

Nice find! As others have said, the hands have been replaced. If it doesn't bother you, you don't have to get them changed. Probably the most important thing would be servicing it and replacing the broken pusher.

It is actually getting serviced and fixed right now. the hands don't bother me as the orange chronograph hand seems to be rare. But it will be nice having it fixed up.

Generally, a watchmaker will polish a watch unless specifically directed otherwise. And polishing will diminish its value.

they are replacing the glass, fixing the pusher and replacing a main spring. they asked to polish the case but i said to just clean it. the sentimental value to me out weighs the potential value. but i do appreciate the advice. Will be the first watch in my collection and im pretty amazed by the history of omega.

And a caliber 321 is a great way to start your collection, well done!
