Help identifying this model

Greetings everybody,

I've recently inherited this Omega watch and after a few hours looking online (mainly on Desmond's fantastic blogspot) I still haven't been able to pin it down.

I'm sorry if I have put this in the wrong thread and would appreciate feedback on what model it could be, that's if it's not just a complete fake...

From my limited 'research', I thought maybe 60's? Shame about the damage on the 12 as well.

Lume on the dial and hands and no Ts suggests an early 1960s watch

My guess would be an early 168.005.
