Received this watch from my father as an inheritance. Understanding that he obtained it from an auction. no information from which auction house or when.

I would like to know ANY information about this watch. Date, model, specific features would be really helpful. Should the watch be added to my insurance separately, suggested value would be great.

thanks neil

welcome Neil @scuba321

Condolences if the loss of your father is recent.

The watch you show is a bit of an odd one.
Omega did do these lugless Constellations with fixed bracelets - but not like this one.

If genuinely 18k gold, my best guess is that it is locally cased watch as it doesn't match any Omega style.

However, the dial has been stripped and repainted - but from the pics, I don't recognise the shape of the indices (but that may be the angle/quality of the photo)

As a collectible the watch does not have a great deal of value - a further problem is that the bracelet has to be cut to size to fit the wearer - but if it does turn out to be all 18k gold then it will certainly have a significant intrinsic value.

Probably worth while having someone open the watch to see what is 'under the hood' and have the gold content confirmed at the same time.

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for that information. the bracelet is confirmed at 18K. bracelet is indeed odd, in the fact that it is fixed length. Anything in particular that i should watch lol for under the hood when i take it to a watchmaker?

Take a pic of the inside of the case back and the movement. Make sure to use a good camera, eg a modern smartphone. That should do

You are probably looking at a couple of grand for the gold value. That’s gbp. Maybe circa $3k USD. That may help you decide if you need to list it separately with your insurer.
